Bishop William & Lady Donna Murphy

Our Pastor

William Murphy Jr. is a renowned Christian leader, anointed to release prayer to the nations.  Respected by men of God from all denominations and nationalities, William Murphy is leaving God’s mark upon the world through his light, revelation and example.

He has served as the Senior Pastor of New Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Pontiac, Michigan since 1990.    Birthing a progressive sound of praise and worship though ministry, William has been at the forefront of the intercessory prayer movement throughout the country.  In answering the call of prayer, he has led thousands into the very presence of God through teaching, services, books and prayer CD’s.

His writings include, “How to Flow in a Powerful Prayer Meeting”, “Walking in a Victorious Prayer Life”, “Five Traits of An Effective Intercessor”, “100 Declarations That Will Change Your Destiny”, and “When You Pray, Say our Father”. His latest release, “The Harp and Bowl: The Connection Between Worship and Prayer”, is available on Amazon, in both paperback and Kindle editions.

His unique interactive prayer CD’s invites the listener to participate in the flow.  This powerful anointing is captured in, “The Daily Bread”, “Could You Not Pray With Me One Hour?”, “War Cry”, and his latest CD release, “Harp & Bowl Intercession”; which have been purchased as far away as Japan, Germany, Africa, England, and the Bahamas.

He serves as a member of the Executive Council and Bishop of Intercessory Prayer of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International under the auspices of Bishop Joseph W. Walker, III which has led to his travels throughout the United States and abroad.  He is responsible for developing and training corporate prayer teams in churches around the country.

He is blessed to have his family in ministry with him; his wife, Elder Donna Murphy, Daughters; Brittany and Jasmine; his sons, Bishop William H. Murphy, III of the dReam Center Church in Atlanta, Ga. and Pastor DeJaughn Murphy who ministers in California.
